Izabela Klara Biskupska performance Gozo
Why Gozo?
I came to this heavenly island during one sunny day in July of 2018, after 12 years in Italy. Gozo’s uncontaminated nature, breathtaking beauty, warm climate and kind-hearted people all attracted me to come here. Painting is my passion, so Gozo allows me to nurture my artistic soul too. I also love to discover everything about the megalithic sites.
Woman that survived
Woman that survived is an art performance using human body, voice, photography, video and lyrics to express the deepest feelings and emotions of a Woman. The performer will create a live painting that will be exposed to a silent auction afterwards.
Upon arrival the guests will be invited to take a glass of wine and explore the gallery in silence. The artist will be on the floor, covered, and will start performing, expressing emotions through her body, voice and through a canvas that will be provided for the occasion. Guests will be asked to switch off their phones and not to interfere with the artist, avoiding conversation and physical contact. After the performance, there will be a silent auction for the painting. The artist will also show other artworks that will be for sale.
The event will not be visible from outside the gallery; however, the gallerist will be taking photos and videos of the event for social media.
It will be an experimental night for the artist and for the guests, since the result is unknown and subject to the moment.
