Praca latem daje popalić

Od wieków na Malcie jest tradycja by latem czyli od środka czerwca aż do końca września kraj wchodzi w tryb ślimaczy ...i tak postrzeganie jest że na południu się żyje w innym tempie. 

Jest to OFICJALNIE potwierdzone i pracownicy rządowi mają skrócone godziny pracy - tylko do 12:00 ! 

Szkoła też nie zaczyna się od 1.09 ale 2-3 tygodnie później. Jest jasne jak słońce, że chodzi o niemożebny gorąc a do dziś wiele placówek rządowych, posterunki policji, urzędy czy szkoły NIE mają klimatyzacji a dotychczasowe sposoby chłodzenia pomieszczeń już nie zdają egzaminu czyli oblewają ...potem uczniów czy pracowników. Grube mury, krużganki, małe okna.

I ta tradycja godzin letnich / zimowych jest broniona jak Częstochowa ! 

NAWET NOC nie daje odetchnąć a są tacy co śpią na swych tarasach i dachach !

"According to the Meteorological Office, the maximum temperature recorded today reached 43.3°C. The office at Malta International Airport said this was a record temperature for the month of July.

The previous highest July temperatures were 42.7°C, recorded in both 1998 and 2023.

Speaking to TVMnews, the Meteorological Office also said that the highest temperature ever recorded in Malta was 43.8°C, reached in August 1999.

This means that today’s temperature was just 0.5°C below the all-time national record.

20 cooling centres opened for vulnerable people

Against this backdrop, health authorities have opened 20 cooling centres in various localities for vulnerable people who may not have access to adequate facilities to keep their homes cool during the day.

Speaking to TVMnews, Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci said that, during the day, 23,000 people aged over 70 and suffering from certain chronic conditions were informed about how they could benefit from the initiative."
