The
Geography
Poland is
situated in Central and Eastern Europe. With 313'000 sq km Poland is
one of the largest countries of Europe. It stretches from the
Carpathian Mountains in the South to the Baltic Sea in the North. It
has a population of almost 40 million
Poland is
a crossroad between the West and the East. Its culture reflects this
fusion and influence. Poland also boasts of remarkable nature
reserves with unique elements shiuch as the wild bison.
Passport
and Visa Requirements
Poland like Malta joined the European Union and Schengen. Citizens of Malta, therefore do not need any visa.
Holders of
Maltese travel documents and of Malta issued Schengen visas can enter
Polish territory.
Foreign
nationals entering Poland are expected to hold funds, or produce
proof of their ability to acquire enough funds to sustain themselves.

Regulations
Travellers
entering or departing from the European Union are required to declare
to customs authorities any amounts of cash equal to or exceeding
10,000 (or an equivalent thereof in other currencies, easily
marketable securities such as shares and bonds, and travellers’

- Winters in Poland can be very cold and even reach extreme temperatures below -20oC
