By wykonywać pracę przewodnika wycieczek na Malcie należy uzyskać licencję od Malta Tourism Authority . Wcześniej ukończyć szkołę czyli Institut Of Tourism Studies , dziennie lub zaocznie.

Oprowadzanie bez licencji jest wykroczeniem i karane grzywną 1200 euro.

"3. (1) No person shall act or provide services as a tourist

guide, or use the title "tourist guide" unless he is licensed or

recognised to be licensed as such by the Authority in terms of these

regulations.

20. (1) Without prejudice to the provisions of regulation 19,

any person who fails to comply with any of the provisions of these

regulations, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on

conviction, to a fine (multa) not exceeding one thousand and two

hundred euro (€1,200).
