Zmiany na stanowisku ambasadorskim w Polsce - Malta wysłała  (sierpień 2024) nowego i dynamicznego człowieka, który bardzo się stara zapoznać ze swoją placówką jeżdząc po kraju wzdłuż i wszerz. 

Dr Gavin Gulia was educated at De la Salle College, Cottonera Malta and the University of Malta at the Faculty of Laws. He graduated Doctor of Laws in 1988.

He is a practising lawyer specialising in private law, civil law and real estate law.

He was a Local Councillor at Haz-Zebbug, his hometown in 1993 – 1995.

He was then elected to the Malta House of Representatives in 1996, 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2021.

In 1996 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for the Self-Employed and then Minister of Justice in 1998. Post 1998 he served as Shadow Minister for Home Affairs, Shadow Minister for the Economy and Shadow Minister for Tourism.

He was appointed Chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority in May 2013, a post he currently still holds.

Dr Gulia is the Honorary President of the St Philip Band Club in his hometown Zebbug and Honorary President of the Zebbug Rangers Football Club.
